Here you will find all religious and cultural events of our community and selected events of our partner organisations. Please note that registration for chargeable events is only valid once payment has been made. If you are coming to us for the first time, please also send us a copy of your passport by e-mail. Please familiarise yourself with our safety precautions under "Culture - Events". Please book events outside the municipality directly with our partners.

At our events, photos and videos are taken for public relations purposes (e.g. website, social media). If you do not wish this, please inform the photographer or at the entrance.

Justman's survival story and the Ötztal valley as a refuge

Dominik Markl's research into the survival story of Leokadia Justman also leads to the Ötztal valley, where a Jewish couple from Cologne finds refuge. He reports on an exciting and hitherto largely unknown story. Moderation: Edith Hessenberger. Event for the exhibition in Landhaus 1. Cooperation with the Ötztaler Museums. No registration required.

Operation Greenup - Codename Brooklyn

Josef Weber will conduct a short tour in the village centre of Oberperfuss, focusing on the events from 3rd March to 3rd May 1945, under the theme: "The Three Agents of Operation Greenup and the Brave Women of the Village". Duration: 1.5 hours. Maximum participants: 30 people. The tour is free of charge; voluntary donations welcome.

"Trash and sin"

On May 5th, the day of remembrance against violence and racism in memory of the victims of National Socialism, the winning project of gedenk_potenziale 2026 will be presented: the „Time Travel Guide Trash and Sin - Innsbruck Nightlife 1918-38“. The digital time travel guide uses collages, 3D reconstructions, and theatrical productions in an audio drama style to transport visitors to the bars and clubs of Innsbruck's nightlife during the interwar period. A virtual world, accessible to everyone via smartphone, built from current scientifically sourced findings.

"My name was Rita back then"

Rozette Kats survived the Holocaust after her Jewish parents hid her as a baby with foster parents. Her parents and brother were murdered in Auschwitz. Since the 1990s, Rozette Kats has been speaking as a Holocaust survivor in Dutch and German schools. On May 20, 2026, she will be visiting Austria for the first time. Ballroom, Landhaus 1 (1st floor)

"You won't get me!

The Jewish soldier, born in Częstochowa in 1916, survived the Holocaust and the war through daring escapes, false papers, and brave helpers in Poland and Vorarlberg. In 1946, he married Leokadia Justman in Innsbruck. In 1997, he wrote down his story for his family, accompanied by photos and documents. The editors of the German translation "Mich kriegt ihr nicht!" of the original English version "My Fight for Survival", Niko Hofinger and Dominik Markl, will guide us through the evening.

Long after religions

The Interreligious Platform Innsbruck is meeting with all interested parties for the Long Night of Religions: In addition to Christian religious communities, the Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish (until the start of Shabbat), Baháʼí, and Alevi religions will be represented. The event is taking place as part of the "Long Night of Churches".
