Purim (Hebrew: פּוּרִים, Pûrîm “lots”, from the word פור pur, also called the Festival of Lots) is a Jewish holiday which commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman in the ancient Persian Empire, a story recorded in the Biblical Book of Esther (Megillat Esther).
Once again this year, we cordially invite all members and friends to our Purim celebration in the community centre! From 14:30 there will be fun and games for all children and the young at heart. Schlomo Rottman the Megilat Esther and needs strong support to make noise. From 17:00 we are spoilt Guy Balassiano once again with fantastic Israeli dishes and Roman Grinberg invites you to shake a leg with Sasha Danilov and intoxicating klezmer sounds.
